Dear Loyal Followers,

As the year comes to a close, it’s time for what has become my traditional time of reflection.

When the year started, I had just opened my website, had a few paying jobs and starting to slowly grow my business.

Seeing that you were enjoying my accompanying writings with my photographic work, I decided to test the waters. I found my old blog and revisited those days. I archived them and gave them a new home on my website. The more of the archived articles I posted, the more you seemed to like them. Suddenly, I remembered how much fun I had writing.

I saw a movie this year that was the day in the life of a shopping mall employee. I found it so interesting that it inspired me to begin working on my own memories from the malls I used to go to. Once I began writing, I couldn’t stop. I also took a deep dive on the subject of the deserted malls. In the end, I released my 7-part article on the The Mall. It quickly became my most popular set of articles and remains so to this day. It is currently available through January 06, 2023 as a collection. Be sure to check it out.

Following the success of The Mall, I had my first limited-run online gallery showing of The Lancaster County Collection. It was so much fun putting that together and I am so glad so many people viewed it. It inspired me to do another limited-run showing. This time I hosted in my own make-shift gallery on my own website. The Eastern State Collection was a great success and a great way to kick off the Halloween season. Because of my showings, I have three new customers that are now collectors of my work with multiple pieces of my work adorning their walls.

I dipped my toe in the world of photojournalism this year when state trooper was killed in the line of duty. His funeral procession brought out support from his community. It was so moving to see how many people came out to support his family. Then I covered a 3-car accident that left one person dead. It was heartbreaking to see.

This year I took Ask Me To Take Your Photo™ all over the place. I met people in Lancaster County, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. I covered harvest festivals, flower festivals and even a Victorian Christmas. Remember, if you see me taking photos, don’t be shy! I’ll take your photo as well.

2022 saw my return to Cowtown Rodeo to continue to practice my rodeo photography skills. Boy did we have some great nights down there. I can’t wait for the season to start up again.

But the event that was the most successful was Gymkhana! The owners at Dun Hollow Ranch were kind enough to allow me to cover their Gymkhana events throughout the season. It was the most fun I have had since becoming a photographer. Gymkhana ALONE took me from a hobby photographer, to a professional Rodeo photographer. I went from working here and there on my craft to now being a brand. I could never thank Dun Hollow enough. When the season ended, I wanted to experiment a little and try my hand at English horse competitions. Suffolk Stables gave me the opportunity I was looking for. One of their shows was the coldest shoot I have ever been on, spending 12 hours in 23-degree weather was so much fun.

As 2022 comes to an end, I am glad to see my brand growing. I am overcome by the success I’ve seen this year and can’t wait to see when 2023 brings me.

Most of all, I have to take this time to thank YOU! All of my followers, my viewers, my readers, my collectors, my commenters and everyone who have supported me. It’s amazing how a dream can be born in the middle of cornfields out in the middle of nowhere and turn into all of this. Thank you so much Everybody for allowing me to follow my dreams! From my house to yours, I wish you a Happy, Healthy and prosperous New Year!
