“The Commandant's Threshold”

Fort Mifflin is one of Philadelphia's best kept secrets. It was built by the British before The Revolutionary War, used against them during the war and then used up until it was decommissioned in 1954. Left abandoned until 1970, anyone was free to come in and roam the grounds when every they pleased. During this time, while someone was camping out in the Commandant's House, a fire burned it to its foundation. Due to Fort Mifflin not being very well known, it’s repair has been very slow going over the years. This is a rare look at the interior of the main entrance into the beautiful building.
