When John Wanamaker opened the first department store in Philadelphia in 1910, he probably wouldn’t have thought it would still be here all these years later. The Grand Court stands a total of 12 stories high and is a major attraction in the city. It’s so breathtaking that it was featured in such movies as 12 Monkeys, Blow Out and Mannequin.
