“Ray of Hope”

Most blue-collar workers dread going to work. Getting up every morning just to go to a job you don’t enjoy and be mistreated make it harder and harder to get up. At times, it can be stressful, you can feel alienated and alone. You can feel like this is just not where you want to be today. After all, you just survived yesterday. What is your reward, you get to come back to do it all again today.

Then something happens. Just as you’re walking into work, there is a strange light on your shoes. While you slowly raise your head to look up, Nature reveals itself, like theater curtains puled just as the show begins. The more you look, the more it reveals. As you stare at the natural work of art, you notice a small, but meaningful, Ray Of Hope. It’s a sign telling you that it’s ok if you have to go to work now. The sun will shine again tomorrow. It may not be the same as it is now, but each day is unique.

We are much like these clouds. We know that the sun will shine each day. We can’t control what the sun does or does not do. We are the one thing in life we can control. We can control how we react to the light reflecting on us. We can be dark and moody, or we can scatter our joy around and spread the beauty within. How will you react when the light shines on you today?
