“Reservation For One”

Ever had your hair cut in a low lit, cold, decaying prison cell? As prisoners were escorted into Eastern State Penitentiary with a blinding sack over their head to prevent them from understanding the layout, it was mandatory that they cut each person’s hair. During the 142 years of operation, 75,000 inmates were imprisoned behind these thick walls. Each one sat here to have their hair cut, one by one. Depending on the circumstances surrounding their incarceration, some went willingly and some putting up a fight. So, the next time you want to complain about your hair dresser, just remember, it could be worse.
