Deborah Needs Our Help!

Last fall, I had the honor to begin working at a new stable, Suffolk Stables, in Shamong, New Jersey. I had never shot English Riding Shows before, but reached out to them to see if they would allow me to try. Owner, Deborah Lyons-Greer, was very excited for me to cover her event. From the moment I met her she was very welcoming and tried to explain the show to me as best she could. When my daughter and I covered a show there last November, it was 32°, with the wind chill, it made it feel like 23°. Everybody was freezing but made the best of it. In the middle of it all, was this ball of energy, Deborah just as jolly and happy as could be. It was very inspiring to everyone else to get through the bitter cold day.

On February 13th, 2023 Deborah suffered from a ruptured brain aneurysm. She was airlifted to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Deborah had to have life-saving surgery and is being cared for around the clock by the neurology team.

This will be a long road to recovery. This kind of care is not cheap. The staff at Suffolk Stables are now faced with not only the medical bills, but trying to keep the stables running smoothly so that Deborah has something to come home to. She has to recover and come home!!! For a person who has helped so many in the Equestrian Community, it's time to repay the favor. Her staff need our help, her family need our help, Deborah needs our help.

Her business partner, Amanda Crosbie, has set up this Go Fund Me to help with medical and stable expenses. I am asking everyone, if you can help out in any way, please do so. Every little bit counts.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to read this, and for helping Suffolk Stables out.
