“Out Of The Blue”

When we woke this morning, the sunlight was blocked out by the heavy cloud cover that was to last all day. Mornings like this, tend to get the day off to a rough start. Even the littlest things can set us off. Things that normally go right on every OTHER day. It is a routine that happens like clock-work. Not TODAY. Those little things are small signs of how the rest of the day will play out. We have ALL been there. The small things lead to bigger routines not firing off like normal and by the time we know it, we’re at work and nothing is going according to plan. After that long dreadful day, we finally get back in the car to go home and put an end to this day, hoping tomorrow will be better. It just HAS to improve. We are just looking for a sign that tomorrow’s going to be a better day.

That’s when it hits us from out of the Out Of The Blue. We’re driving through a long stretch of road without street lights. It’s nice and wide open, with open fields on either side. The clouds that have been covering the sun all day, suddenly open up for just a BRIEF moment, just to remind us of the natural beauty around us. Then just as fast as they opened, the clouds close once again. It happened at that perfect time. The time when we most needed something to hold on to, this small window opened, seemingly for the sole purpose, of reassurance. A reminder that just as the sun is setting tonight, the sun will rise again in the morning. With it, comes a new light to shine under.

Just think, because we made it through such a rough day, we are stronger than the prior day.
