Writing has always been a major part of my life. Starting off with school reports, then transitioning into lyrics and poems. Whether writing for myself or for an audience, there was always a story to be told. Having been diagnosed with ADHD as a child, writing was a form of therapy for the brain. With a mind that was constantly in overdrive, writing helped as I could put thoughts on paper. As my writing ability matured, I began telling stories of where I was in life through journaling or online blogs. Since I began studying photography, I decided to use my writing as a companion to selected pieces of my work. Below are the stories In My Life.

In a world so filled with negativity, we sometimes lose the positivity. As children, we all had a very strong and very caring person in our life that helped explain the difficult times to us on our level. That source of strength has been lost on so many children in the last two decades. Here I talk about that power source, what it meant to me and how badly it's missed in these trying times.

We just returned from a nice little visit to our favorite place to be, Lancaster County. My family and I could not WAIT to get away for some much needed relaxation. I assure you, the tale in this weeks installment is 100% true. My wife and daughter are the only witnesses (with technology) that can attest to it.

Do you remember that one movie that you watched as a child over and over and over again? For me it was three-fold. There was the movie, the soundtrack and the live concerts. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. I know you go above and beyond for your kids. Sometimes it gets noticed and other times....well not so much. Who do you think is THEE most underrated band of all time? I grew up in a musical household. I have a very eclectic taste in music. I have learned to appreciate all kinds of bands. There is one band though, that I have always held in high regard that I feel a lot of people wrote off. A lot of people didn’t take them seriously as musicians or as a band because of their public persona. In this week’s installment of In My Life we take a look at one of the best bands to come out of their era. Take a second listen, listen to them as musicians, listen to them as a band. You may discover something you never heard before!
