“Patience”

All of us men have been there. The women wanted to shop at a place they do not drive to. They look to you to drive. We've tried to shop with them. We did our best to stand next to them while they go back and forth between color, size, style. After the fiftieth time going through the entire collecting trying to decide, we have had enough.

What they do not understand is that guys don't shop. We go into a store, get what we need and get out as quickly as possible. Hell, we even try to beat a time record. Women, on the other hand, will spend eight hours shopping. Thank God for inventions like the cell phone, TikTok, YouTube and all the streaming services out there.

When I was in the retail mall industry, I worked in the media department where we sold TVs. At the time, we sold this new thing called a flat screen TV. There was no service to it, so we couldn't put any games on or anything. The manufacturer gave us a promotional DVD to play, telling customers about the TV. I don't even watch commercials at home, they expect me to watch them while I'm shopping? No one would ever watch that TV. One day, I got the idea to play something everyone would watch. I brought in my copy of “The Naughty Nineties”. Before you judge me, this movie is not what it sounds like. The movie is a 1945 classic staring my favorite comedy duo Bud Abbott & Lou Costello. The scene I put on repeat for 8 hours a day was the one that made them famous “Who's On First”. Suddenly, people of all ages were stopping, watching and laughing. People were watching the TV!

That success led me to the question, why do stores not have a Men's section? I don't mean a section that sells things for men. I mean a section for men to wait while the women shop. Include seats where men could watch TV. If we had to follow women around while shopping and never being able to make up their minds, we would go insane. This man struck gold! He found a SEAT! When you find a nice bench like this, it's much easier to have a little Patience.
