“The Light That Shines On Us”

Sometimes we walk through life without seeing opportunities as they come up. I’ve walked through this Amish Farm and House many times. I’ve appreciated the fresh air, the animals on the farm, the people that work there. I never thought to go into the silo. On a recent trip, I was walking by it, saw that it was empty and open so I stepped inside. I was alone. It was quiet and peaceful. Then I looked up. I admired how it was built, but it was the light that drew my attention. The light that shown down on me. I had never experienced this before and I am not sure if I will ever get that chance again. The silo walls are a very strong structure. They served as a guide, leading me to FOCUS on the light that shined on me.
In life, it is very easy to be caught up in the millions of things that pull on our attention in every which way. Sometimes it leaves us feeling like an old worn-out ragdoll. Occasionally, we need that strong structure to keep us in line, to focus on the important things in life, to focus on the goal we are working towards, to force us to FOCUS on The Light That Shines On Us.
