“Tools of A Thousand Stories”

As I admire all these tools of different trades, it makes me wonder in awe. How many rooms have these lanterns lit? How many things have that saw built? Some of them I look at and can’t help but ask “what the hell IS that?!” At the end of each hard-working day, how many beers have those draft handles served. What kind of stories were told over those beers? We look at these tools with fresh eyes and sometimes don’t know what they are, but as for the people that have used them, they can’t ever forget. I’d like to think that this is a collection that was made up from many a basement from those who have left this world. It’s a snapshot of a time we will never see again. Even when bought, they will never be used for their original purpose.
