2021

Dear Loyal Followers,

It’s that time of year again! Time to look back and remember all that was accomplished this past year. What an exciting year it has been!

For starters, I took on the personal challenge of going from shooting inanimate objects such as landscapes to shooting fast moving objects. During a sledding trip, I learned a new technique.

I continued to perfect that skill when my daughter, Savanna, joined the local softball team. All of the parents and coaches were kind enough to give me all access during their season. I learned how to photograph not just players, but a TEAM. A well-oiled team that went all the way to the championship game! I spent a lot of time with these girls and got to really know them, learned their personalities and the best way to shoot each one.

In July, my wife, Kelly, talked my family into trying something different, something we never thought of before. We went to our first rodeo. It was a night that changed our lives forever. We didn’t just go that night. We went every week. That country lifestyle crept into our lives and changed us. I learned how to photograph REALLY fast-moving subjects. The rodeo took me from an armature, hobby photographer to a professional photographer when I was hired for my first gig shooting high school rodeo events. Then, imagine my surprise when someone contacted ME to come to their ranch and shoot family portraits!  When the rodeo ended for the season, Savanna couldn’t get it out of her blood. She began taking horse riding lessons. Of course, her doting father tagged along to photograph her experience. The rodeo not only gave us a whole new look on life, it gave us a new lifestyle and a lot of new friends.

This year, I also began photographing bands as well as a personal interest. I have always been surrounded by bands my entire life and now, I get to capture the pure joy that it gives me.

To seal the deal on becoming a professional photographer, I launched my own website for my newly found business. I’m not going to lie, Kelly is a lot more tolerant now that my “hobby” is bringing in some money.

Me, on the other hand, I’m just so happy and proud that the last two years of hard work and dedication is finally starting to pay off!

Of course, none of this would be possible without all of You loyal fans! For viewing my photos, for reading my work, for all the kind words and support, I am humbled. I thank You from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to explore my passion, and for taking this journey with me!

Thank you Everybody!
